Of course.

Our war brought everything to the ground, Smokescreen. It is my intention to remake it in the way your leader and I envisioned.. before he became your leader.

Yeah, yeah- remake it the way Megatronus and Optimus thought. Optimus wanted the same thing, you know. I know you’re not gonna do it, though. You’ll frag up everything. Like you have done every single time. Thanks a lot.

If you really feel the need to criticize my plans for this planet then come and do so constructively. Our race is a fraction of what it once was. No matter your alliance, the war is done. It doesn’t matter anymore! What matters now is that we restore Cybertron to something like- something better than it once was.

So if you really have something to say about how to keep your home world from failing, by all means, come and share it.

ask-smokescreen:

Then explain why I’m able to touch his face- and see him. And hear him. I’m very alive, and with Optimus right now.

I know you’d want to restore the well. Even if you fragged everything up, you have some things in common with me.

But I honestly don’t think you’d even be able to fully restore the well. You’d mess up, and Cybertron’d be dead again. Thanks to you. Again. And this time, your universe’ll have nothing to keep you from dealing with Unicron.

I mean, you really think the tiny shard would be enough to bring back the planet? You’re going to need a lot more than that.

Wait, what?

Yeah, I’m not telling you what Optimus just said. I don’t exactly get what he means, even.

I said key, not the only key. If it were so easy, that martyr would have done it long ago. I require the Allspark.

I will deal with Unicron if the time ever comes. I have before. But this is your universe too, Smokescreen. If you were really so concerned for it you wouldn’t be sulking on some other world. Go on, keep pretending to be absolved of your shame if that is the only way you can live. But I have a species to rebuild. I have no time for your games.

If you know the location of Optimus Prime, you will tell me, or continue to hide.

… Has grief made you mad? I melted his frame down. I have his sword and his Matrix. That Prime is dead, and whatever hope of restoring him you may cling to is nothing short of depraved.

No, it hasn’t! I’m right next to him. He’s dead, but he’s also right here. I can see him, hear him, though him- and he’s talking. Kind of- kind of mad at me because I keep risking stuff by talking to you, but still.

He also knows where the Optimus you wanted to offline is. And we’re not gonna tell you.

You didn’t melt the matrix? huh. Good to know!

*He growls over the comlink.*

There are no such things as ghosts that speak to the living. And do you take me for a fool? The Matrix contains a shard of pure energon from Primus’ core. No matter how much I would love to destroy it, I cannot risk losing what may be a chance to fully restore the Well. I am not the villain you believe me to be.

ask-smokescreen:

mighty-megatron:

Not that one. The other one.

You shall have to be more specific, Smokescreen. There are quite a lot of him in the multiverse.

You know. The one you made a big scene of offlining? I’m right next to him. And he says hello- and that I should stop talking to you-

Well. You know. Just let it sink in.
