Reaching over, Megatron hits the button for holographic display. Normally, this would display the 15 coordinates in three dimension, above the datapad. Instead, there were a series of 15 icons, each one unique in shape.
“When running the data through a projector, they turn into these.” He glaces sideways at Smokescreen. “Do you recognize any of them? At least one of them should be familiar to you.”
Smokescreen’s pausing- he can easily recognize one, and he steps up to grab the covenant, pulls it out turning it to a page on the Primes, and turning it so it faces Megatron. “See what I mean? Maybe they mean relics that belonged to those Primes? I don’t know what those other symbols are, though. You think they might be in here?”
Megatron stared at the open tome on the table, offered freely to him. The Covenant. Alpha Trion’s record of the entire history of their race and potentially the future… but it was not his future that he was interested in. Regardless of what lay at the end of that book, he refused to accept that the future was written, that his destiny was something that had been decided long ago. It was the past that couldn’t be changed, and some insight into all that had transpired may benefit him…
Not now. If Smokescreen was offering it to him now, he would do so again.
“…That is likely the case. The ones that appear to be on Cybertron include those of Prima, Alpha Trion, Alchemist, Liege Maximo, and Amalgamous. The two that are unaligned are both off-world, further confirming that the last…” He points to the final symbol, the entry submitted much later than the rest. The symbol is simply a cube. “Must be the Allspark. As for the rest, the Thirteen were each known to possess some ancient and powerful relic, which makes it easier to guess what lies at each… Although as we have already found the Forge and Covenant, that may not be the case.”
“The Allspark is our priority, but while we prepare, I need you to consult that book. Find out what the Primes would have wanted hidden from us.” From me, he thought.
