Con’t…

The little face remained right up in Rigel’s as he listened, slightly confused. Rigel didn’t exactly answer his question, but it just seemed like maybe he didn’t know all the answers. He didn’t seem much older than Dee was, after all.

“A team… Yeah. That’s prolly why Terminus doesn’t like him. The first Primes helped us n’ helped make us, but this Zeta one’s letting the Senate… How come yer sayin’ ‘used to’? Is it not like that here? In uh… this ‘nother world?” Dee squinted, rubbing his helm. It was starting to hurt…

“’S a multiverse thing,” Rigel stated again with a shrug. “Not another world – Well, Earth is, technically -” He waves away the thought with a hand.

“No, don’t think ‘bout it too much. What I do know – Frum all the bot’s i’ve talked to – is that th’ Primes n’ the Council work t’gether to get slag done. But that changed, an’ sum’bots were upset ‘bout it. We don’t got any of that here though,” his smile returned, brows lowering in concern for the obvious confusion. “It ain’t nothin’ to worry about now.”

Dee nodded, still rubbing his helm. Something felt… off in there, but he tried to focus on understanding his new friend’s explanation. What could be done about the pain, anyway?

“Uh huh, it’s not here. That’s good, I don’t like any of it, but… upset… Why’d they be upset if it changed? What they do together hurts us, it should change… right?” The ache was spreading, from his helm to his shoulders and down his back now. Slipping off of Rigel, Dee shivered, trying to shake it out. “Sorry, ‘m OK… Just feel funny.”

“Rigel… ‘f it’s really different here, I wanna stay with you… Nobody’s happy there, nothin’s new’r soft… Don’t wanna go back, I’d never find this place again!”
