(Bee plants his feet, one stinger out and one hand ready. He’s rarin’ to go!)
Megatron extends his sword, taking up a position and grinning down at his opponent. Normally, he would wait and let the other be the one to make the first move, giving him an advantage as defender. But as he was curious how Bee had dealt with an attacking beast, Megatron took up the mantle, charging with a roar of his own.
(Bee had a distinct advantage that he’d learned fighting Nova: he could go underneath bigger opponents easy. Bee zips forward on his wheels, anticipating where Megatron’s feet fall and weaving between them to get behind the bigger mech. He knew the back of Megatron’s knees were a weak point, from a previous fight, but he also remembered he was here to spar not to topple him immediately.)
(That doesn’t mean he won’t teasingly pop some sparks against Megatron’s ankles, though.)
Very good, making use of your opponent’s size. Megatron nearly turns, but upon feeling the tingling in his ankle he lets himself fall forward and off of it, rolling into a kneeling position with his sword arm up between them as a shield. Now that he’s expecting the electricity, it’s more of a numbing buzz than a shock, but a challenge to work around.
Bee’s game seems to be to get behind him, a sound strategy. Megatron’s game will be to make his back just as dangerous, ready to swing his arm in a wide arc.
(Here’s another Predacon lesson: duck, or dodge, but stay in range. Bee moves up and inward, going under the sword. He can feel the danger in getting this close like a crackle across his plating. Megatron’s onto keeping him in front, and this low to the ground he can’t get under the bigger mech.)
(Strategy two: go over. He’s kept his dominant hand empty for this exact reason. Bee leaps onto Megatron’s knee and starts clambering under his arm and onto his back. This is dangerous territory; he has to move fast.)
Megatron had expected to put some distance between them with that maneuver, instead finding Bumblebee leaping forward to climb up his side. The former gladiator snarls, standing up to spin himself once and attempt to reach the nimble minibot.
With a singular enemy on his back, Megatron would typically have slammed backwards into the ground; but he didn’t want to actually crush his friend, and according to their terms, doing so would be his forfeit.
Megatron does not forfeit.
